Entries for March, 2007

Well… that was a waste of time…

So, for the last couple years now I’ve been seriously wanting to create a Virtual Airline organization that models small corporate prop and turboprop aircraft in it’s fleet. A small company serving just the Pacific Northwest. The largest aircraft would be of the Cessna 441 size… other aircraft ideas would be Cessna 421C, Piper Navajo, [...]

My Virtual US Tour – Leg 4

Leg 4 : KCPR – KRAP Leg 4 completed! Weather was really nice for once. Although the first part of the trip was boring as heck… nothing but flat desert land as far as the eye could see until I reached my first waypoint at Mendell (ECS VOR). After that flying over the mountains was [...]

Milestone again!

Yesterday, I broke my record for highest level in a MMORPG. I finaly reached, then surpassed, 30th level with Androth, my Human Paladin. He’s now 31′st level. Kinda cool… almost like I finaly broached the “plateau” and am climbing once again. If you are not a gamer… well, then you wouldn’t understand.

My Virtual US Tour – Leg 3

Leg 3 : KBTM – KCPR Leg 3 completed. Wow. Talk about a wild ride. I spent the last several days watching the weather up there and not flying the route because I want to fly with real weather. And for the last several days (couple weeks in fact) the weather up in the Montana [...]

Leg 2 : KCOE – KBTM Leg 2 is complete. The flight overall was fairly nice… scattered clouds above Cour D’Ailene. About midway through the flight the clouds above me got really ugly though… I’m glad the layer didn’t descend to my, or lower, altitude. They cleared up before I reached Butte, Montana though. I [...]

My Virtual US Tour – Leg 1

Leg 1 : KPSC – KCOE Leg 1 complete. Had some time after putting the baby to bed tonight, so fired up FS9 and setup this flight and flew it. Weather was VFR… but real close. I was pretty sure I was going to have to go IFR about 20 miles away from KCOE, but [...]

My Virtual US Tour

I’ve always wanted to fly a “Virtual Tour” of the US, just to say I’ve done it. I finaly decided to dive in and do it… and being the perfectionist I am, decided to set it up as realistically as possible, complete with a full flight plan for each leg, fuel calculations enroute and per [...]
